Improving communication through fresh, dynamic design

People living in farming communities experience a unique combination of agricultural, lifestyle, and genetic factors that have the potential to affect their health in countless ways. The Agricultural Health Study (AHS) focuses on understanding these effects. Since 1993, more than 89,000 farmers and their spouses have taken part in the Study, a collaborative effort between the National Cancer Institute, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

A streamlined user experience

With the adoption of numerous advancements in the field of agricultural technology, the Study’s online experience needed to evolve as well. AHS sought a team who could modernize the way farming communities and agricultural collaborators shared and received information. They partnered with Sapient to design an enhanced, responsive site that participants and other interested parties could access from any device, at any time; whether in the lab or in the field.

Blending simplicity and seamlessness to share knowledge

The new AHS site provides an enriched user experience with easier access to content and refreshed, attractive branding to better engage the diverse set of target audiences. By improving how collaborators share their findings, this initiative enhances our ability to understand and manage the health of our nation’s farmers and their families.
