August 30, 2016 – Arlington, VA –— Today, Sapient Government Services, part of Publicis.Sapient, and Luminoso Technologies, a leading global player in deep analytics, announced a marketing partnership. Together, the organizations will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to help federal agencies transform data into actionable insights, enabling improved services to citizens. Terms of the relationship were not disclosed.
Luminoso Technologies is an AI-based deep analytics company that enables rapid analysis of large amounts of written feedback data to understand not just the words consumers are using, but also their underlying sentiment and intent. In other words, Luminoso helps companies and government agencies discern what people are thinking and how they are feeling – at scale, in multiple languages, and in real time.
Sapient Government Services combines strategic consulting and creative services with the latest technology advances to transform the way that government agencies interact with citizens and companies.
“The US government is dedicated to delivering cost-effective services and solutions to citizens in a time of digital disruption which requires new ways of thinking and working centered around data,” said Teresa Bozzelli, President of Sapient Government Services. “As a result of our partnership with Luminoso, we will be able to provide highly advanced real-time understanding of data to better serve citizens needs and enable the government worker.”
Luminoso’s software uses natural language processing and machine learning to analyze unstructured text data by turning language into mathematical vectors using ConceptNet, an open-source semantic knowledge base created at the MIT Media Lab. Unlike solutions that rely on ontologies and long lists of keywords, Luminoso’s software uniquely produces the most accurate and unbiased, real-time understanding of what consumers are saying, including insights that were not anticipated.
“We are thrilled to announce a partnership between Luminoso and Sapient Government Services,” said Luminoso Technologies CEO, Catherine Havasi. “By giving government organizations the power to track, understand, and respond to vast amounts of citizen feedback, quickly and in context, we’re enabling them to create better services and experiences for the people they serve.”
